Cobra Ergonomic Educational Chair

Specializing in Comprehensive Furniture Development, from Concept to Consumer

Your Idea, Our Expertise

The journey of the Cobra chair began with a vision to enhance the school environment with ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing furniture. Scancastor, in collaboration with the renowned design studio Hans Thyge & Co. and Labofa A/S (now part of HolmrisB8), embarked on transforming this vision into a tangible product

Design Collaboration: Construct, Discuss, Refine

Our in-house engineering team worked closely with the designers to construct a chair that not only stands out in form but excels in function. Through a series of discussions and refinements, the Cobra chair's design was perfected to meet the ergonomic needs of educational settings.

Prototype Creation: Prototyping & Testing

Scancastor developed prototypes, putting the Cobra chair through extensive testing. The chair's unique backrest, designed to provide optimal support and flexibility, was rigorously evaluated to ensure it met our high ergonomic standards and that the chair could sustain the harsh treatment in the school environment.

Quality Assurance: Quality Control & Final Product

Every component of the Cobra chair, from the die-casted aluminum parts to the furniture castors, underwent Scancastor's stringent quality control process. The plastic shells, produced at our own injection moulding factory, were scrutinized to guarantee top-notch quality.

Manufacturing Excellence: Start Mass-Production

With the prototype approved, Scancastor initiated the mass production of parts for the Cobra chair. Our specialization in furniture components, particularly for chairs, ensured that each piece was crafted to perfection.

Manage Entire Supplychain

Scancastor didn't stop at manufacturing. We took charge of the entire supply chain, assembling the final chairs and managing distribution from our warehouse in Denmark, ensuring a seamless process from production to delivery.

Sustainable Innovation: Scancastor's Recycled Plastic Material

The Cobra office chair isn't just about smart design; it's also about smart materials. We're proud to say that this chair incorporates Scancastor's recycled plastic material, turning sustainability into a comfortable reality. By choosing recycled plastics, we're not just crafting a chair, we're making a statement. Every sit-down is a step towards a greener planet, and with Scancastor, you're part of the eco-friendly journey.

The Cobra Chair: A Synthesis of Form and Function

The Cobra chair, named for its dynamic and elegant backrest, brings a distinctive character to educational spaces. Designed by the talented Hans Thyge & Co. and Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, the chair is a testament to the power of imagination and the importance of ergonomic design in educational furniture.
